Jenn Sullivan-Cox
MS, LPC, NCC
Jenn Sullivan-Cox is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Board Certified Counselor, and certified Professional School Counselor. She earned both her bachelor's degree in psychology and her master's degree in counseling from Missouri State University. Jenn has been working in the mental health field since 2008; including inpatient psychiatry, private practice, and academia.
Having been raised in a religiously conservative family in rural Missouri, Jenn experienced the complexities of a closeted existence. Coming out and into her own, finding true friends and a chosen family as she entered college, something clicked for Jenn. Through personal experience and professional research, Jenn built a strong foundation to be the kind of adult she needed when she was younger. After over a decade of experience with helping other LGBTQIA+ youth and young adults embrace who they are and empowering them to live their best lives, Jenn continues to be passionate about being an advocate for her community and an ally for all.
In private practice, Jenn works with all adults and adolescents 14+, and specializes in working with fellow members of the LGBTQIA+ community and couples in all stages and types of relationships.
Jenn is also training a pet therapy dog named Sully. He is a black mini Aussiedoodle who is hypoallergenic and a daily part of Jenn’s therapy practice. The benefits of therapy dogs have been studied for decades and have been shown to help ease the stress and tension of beginning the often difficult process of healing and building healthy relationships.
